Is pressure on students to adopt careers of their parent’s choice right or wrong?

 Shamita was a very bright student and was very much active in extra co curricular activities as well. She was exceptionally brilliant in chess and had won many awards on state and national level and had represented her school many times on State and National level.

She was infact the chess champ of her school and her city. She secured 96 percent in his tenth board exam. She always wanted to excel in the career of chess and had aspirations to become the world’s most successful chess champ.

She had no aspirations to become an Engineer or Doctor instead she wanted to work in the direction of her goal of being the famous chess player. But her parents were reluctant. Her father said her to adopt for careers like Engineering or Management because these are the best and most successful careers today.

She was disheartened as her main interest was in making career in chess and with her brilliance she knew she will make it to that field but due to her parents constant pressure she crushed her feelings inside her heart and opted for the science stream and worked hard for various top engineering entrance exams of the country.

She could never forget chess and her aspirations related to that and never took interest in her studies wholeheartedly. As a result she failed in her exams and could not make it to the country’s best Institute. She became frustrated and committed suicide.

This is the story of every second child in our country who have to face the undue aspirations of parents and who are forced to run in the rat race and unhealthy competitions of life.

The solution according to our mindsets is that Shamita’s parents should have allowed her to choose career of her choice as she was desperate and focussed on attaining the goal of being the chess champ in the world.

Her parents should have understood her interest and her abilities in that field and should have supported her at their best but they wanted to see her successful from their point of view ,they didn’t think that a person needs to be successful in his or her eyes first then only he feels real inner satisfaction and happiness in life.

The ultimate solution is with God as he should give all such parents the correct direction to think what is right and what is wrong for their children.

The parents must be given enlightenment by god not to make their children run in the worldly race of being famous and rich overnight.

Children should be allowed to decide their interests and goals on their own so that they can enjoy their work and their life by choosing the field they are interested in.

Parents should be given career counselling of their children so that they do not lose their children in the process of forcing their choices on them

 

 dowry is taking the sophisticated form nowadays

The sad part is although education has reduced dowry cases in the civilised educated society but problem of dowry hasn’t crushed from the roots.

Iam writing this article because I have seen lots of cases of such kind of smart and shrewd ways of acquiring dowry in my city and in my surroundings.

Nowadays because of fear of increasing complaints and cases by girls against their In-laws dowry has taken a sophisticated form.It does not hurt girls physically or does not leave any proofs of torture but the girls are hurt emotionally and in sophisticated ways so that she cannot raise voice also as they have no solid grounds to prove torture just by words ,and are  forced just to bear things in her heart.

The girl’s parents are giving the best of best to the boy and his family in the name of dowry or call it a lavish wedding but still girls are often told by their In-laws that their parents  have given very good gifts, but could have given better saris’, better sweets, better household items and rich and expensive gifts.

Girls try to ignore these things and never speak to their parents about it on their own but parents  feel such indifferent attitude and unexpected words of In-laws of their daughter.

They finally decide to always give the best costliest and expensive gifts to their son in law, more cash and more of jewellery to their daughter and her In-laws.

Even after doing so In-laws often comment that marriage was good but decoration and venue could have been better and it would have  been good if dry fruits and cash would have been given more.

They often comment on the gifts given by daughter in law’s parents on several occasions that if this would have been given it would have been better or if that would have been given it would have been better.

Their demand indirectly increases to such a height that tolerance of the girls break and they finally choose to complain this to their parents and as we know the consequences are nothing but the relationship which should have been long lasting spoils between everyone.

The solution to such problem is very complicated as by reading we find such issues so petty and minor but the person who goes through such mental torture only can understand the pain. As nowadays people are educated so they know the legal process and its hassles and fear them, so instead of torturing girls directly they are hurting them by words and constant comments in order to get their demands fulfilled.

The solution according to our mindsets is that the parents of the boy should not use such weapons to get their demands fulfilled and encourage dowry in a new modern form.

As we know the demands of a person are never ending process so girl’s parents should also become firm and should not fulfil the demands of boy’s parents often.Girl should also become strong and firm and instead of tolerating must question the boy’s parents boldly of their indirect reckless behaviour. If all the girls and their parents will become bold such sophisticated measures to acquire dowry will stop automatically.

Those who are educated will soon open their eyes and will not do such low level deeds because definitely such people knows, our education doesn’t teaches us such acts and deeds instead it teaches us to broaden our vision.

The ultimate solution is with God who has still not enlightened the people towards dowry. If dowry is taken through any means whether through torture or sophistication it is a crime and God should stop people from doing such crime.

The essence of this article is that all the parents of the boys should free themselves from greed. They should understand the worth of a daughter and feelings and sentiments of others. Above all they should understand the worth of a person instead of giving supreme importance to money. And even Girls and their parents should become bold and raise voice against such injustice.

The level of News Channel is deteriorating day by day

News is the best way to transfer information from one place to another and the full form of news itself says transferring information to NORTH,EAST,WEST AND SOUTH.But now a days in India the right news and healthy news has taken the form of synthetic and unhealthy content which generates huge popularity of news channels but has degraded the quality of the content we watch and read.The children in our society which are youth of tomorrow are misguided and the moral values are getting hampered by unhealthy and false contents shown on news channels

Television is the inseparable part of our lives so choosing the right content is very important for viewer. The article raises the issue of deteriorated contents and level of news channels that run in huge numbers but lack in quality and authenticity.The article is written to show the impact of news channels on families.

People  are watching those news channels which shows all the stuff that does not exist in reality as the news channels are producing  it  to gain more television rating points and public is misled. The condition is so pathetic that children are never shown any healthy or meaningful news.

The children today who will be youth of tomorrow have become  dull as they are not aware of anything meaningful happening in their country and when they are asked the general IQ related questions about the country they fail in answering that and always bring shame on their part. News channels magnify the news and show excess of everything which spoils the level of thinking of people. These channels show all irrelevant news which will not help anyone in any ways.

The solution which we can give to this problem is that we can boycott watching such rubbish news channels which only degrades our sensibility and ethics. The society must develop the sensibility to watch something which really can help in increasing their knowledge and even if the vast empire of news channels are progressing, people must learn to choose the best news channel which shows healthy, true and relevant content so that our children, our youth and we ourselves are not hampered by any indecent and fake content
